My Rock, My Provider

I want to take a little time to talk about my awesome guy and his awesome job. Jake has a really cool job at a local German company as a purchaser. I'm not exactly sure what all it entails.. I understand the general idea of what he does.. but.. don't ask me to repeat it! ;-) What I DO know, is that he loves it. He has learned a TON of German, too. The guys in his office said he picked it up really quick and that he speaks it better than them now.. Jake's only been there since May. Such a smarty pants! The company is pretty incredible and treats my guy awesome. There are lots of extra little perks that I don't hear other companies giving. They did a "team building" trip back in October to Miami.. which basically sounded like a bachelor party.. without any cost on us! One of the days they took out a huge yacht and cruised around on jet skis.. I could definitely bond with even my least favorite people over a yacht and jet skis! ;-) Jake sent me this while he was there.. it was about 8am.. lots of "work" going on there.. 

This February, he will be travelling to Switzerland and Germany. I am SO flipping jealous. Spouses are allowed to go but since I will have a 4 week old and a 14 month old.. I think I'm a little needed here. NEXT time! And at some point, he and I will be skiing the alps! Eeeek! First thing's first.. neither of us has ever skied.. Is there a bunny hill on the alps?! Haha I think we will be trying our luck here first. Here is a picture of one of the cities he will be in.. I could totally wake up loving life in Thun, Switzerland.. 

Last night he had a Christmas dinner with his boss and coworkers. They went to Carvers. Even just typing that made me salivate. I was so sad that wives weren't invited.  I mean, I could have BASHED some Carvers! I was secretly was hoping Jake would return with delicious leftovers.  And.. he did!!!! Leftover filet and some kind of wonderful potatoes. He even brought me a chocolate milkshake. Mmmm! So, I got to spend the evening with my sibling and babe AND get the delicious food without having to get dressed up?! I would call that a win!
