My girl goes to daycare. There will have to be a whole post on why this was the right decision for us, and more imortantly, HER.. but just know, I know daycare isn't for everyone.. but it IS for me and Bryn thrives in it.
My faaaaaavorite part is picking her up.. I mean, just look at her..
Literally running towards mommy... I could eat that lil face up!!
After we left daycare, I decided to pick my good friend Katie up some holiday cheer.
I mean, nothing screams "holiday cheer" to a expecting mommy of one like a red cup from Starbucks. We are crazy to take on the lives we do.. but, with these sweet kiddies make our future with newborns look easy. PS.. check out Zane's Santa PJs.. I'm dying. They are soooo cute!
We decided to head to Woodland Lights. I have only ever been to Clifton Mills for their lights, but it's such a long hike with little ones. And this trip turned out PERFECT! 8 minute drive and SO much better than Clifton Mills. This is definitely the start of a Christmas tradition for us. Seriously, check it out if you haven't.. very cool!!!!!
Our babes sat in a wagon. Zane was all about it and was very chill the whole time. Bryn was a little bit unsure about just sitting there. My little busy body. But both kids were great. They really impressed us!
I just LOVE this!!! Bryn got that coat for her Birthday a few weeks ago.. it is TO DIE FOR! Look at her little legs go with her buddy Zane! I love these sweet kids!
Side Note: Before Jake got home from work, I had Bryn running around the house with no baby gates up. I was keeping a close eye on her and decided to let her roam. Suddenly, Vivi must've moved and I had to rush to the restroom and pee really quick... No time to baby proof. When I came out.. Bryn was gone. I was stressing.. I ran to the stairs, not there. I was yelling and heard nothing. Finally, I saw the dogs hovering. She had squeezed by our recliner, bringing books with her, and was sitting in the corner reading. My heart melted, after it stopped racing.
Saturday, we hung out around the house. Played a lot. Relaxed a lot. Bryn slept until 8:30am.. and it was GLORIOUS. It's kinda like she is teasing us right before our world is rocked with Vivi.
That night, I had my girlfriends Christmas party. We all brought an appetizer or dessert, wore comfy PJs and a $25 gift for an exchange and it was SO MUCH FUN! I took no pictures and must've been MIA for the group pic.. but here are some the girls
They are so fun!!!! My favorite part of this party is that the majority of us didn't become friends until Erin's bachelorette party back in August. We rented a houseboat for a weekend on Lake Norris and HAD A BLAST! Seriously, there were so many memories made.. and all the girls were just smitten with each other. So we decided to do a Christmas party with all of us. Here's our boat bash picture..
I HIGHLY recommend a house boat for a bachelorette party. No make up, lots of food, no driving.. it was perfect.
Today, we had another day of relaxation. Fixed up Vivi's room, laundry, dishes.. all that fun stuff. I try to make a crock pot of soup every Sunday so we can munch on that throughout the week. Today, we chose broccoli cheddar and sausage soup. So hearty and delicious!!! My siblings came over to wear out Bryn.
She loves her Row Row.
We watched a lot of football. Jake and I are in the same fantasy football league and we both made to to the semi finals of playoffs. So, even though our beloved Bengals don't play until tomorrow.. we rooted for and against certain players. I'm playing Jake's best friend, Quigley.. and Jake is playing his mom. It's not looking promising for either of us.. yuck! I'm way too competitive for this! But Bryn is awful cute watching football...
"Touchdown!!!"
"Yayyyy"
All in all, great weekend. I am in complete disbelief that this week is Christmas. Where is time going?! Just for fun.. this was what I was looking at one year ago today..
